Open links in Firefox

Set the following preferences:

network.protocol-handler.app.ftp
network.protocol-handler.app.http
network.protocol-handler.app.https

Set them all to the path to firefox.

Check all folders for new mail

Set the following preference to true:

mail.check_all_imap_folders_for_new
